Home 1^st Foundation and Club Auto Sport Team Up to Incubate Green Technology Startups

San Jose, Calif., February 10, 2009 — Home 1st Foundation has entered into a collaborative venture with Club Auto Sport to house up to 15 automotive and alternative fuel startups at Club Auto Sport, a specialty car condominium and club complex for auto enthusiasts located in San Jose, CA.

The goal of the new venture is to spur the growth of “green” companies in automotive-related segments or alternative fuels that might otherwise not have sufficient capital or the necessary support services to bring their visions to fruition. Home 1st welcomes green auto and alternative fuel companies to submit their business plans to “Generation Green Tech” for consideration to be accepted into its unique program.

“Silicon Valley has always been a place for big ideas and progress,” said Omar Auld and David Staffiery, the visionaries behind Home 1st. “We are pleased by the support we have received from Club Auto Sport and we’re excited to get underway helping to tackle some of the environmental and economic challenges our country faces.” As the name “Home 1st” implies, the goal is to create jobs at home first in the United States by providing a facility and helping entrepreneurs through the start-up phase.

Home 1st Foundation is a multi-faceted nonprofit organization whose purpose is to create linkages among businesses, government and consumers to advance and strengthen the green movement, and shift the nation’s pattern of energy use to one that is sustainable for the long run and frees us from dependence on foreign energy sources.

President Barack Obama made it clear in his inaugural address that green technologies are one of his top priorities. “We must fast-track investments in renewable sources of energy like solar power, wind power and advanced bio-fuels, and those are the investments I will make as President,” said President Obama. “It’s a strategy that will create millions of new jobs that pay well and cannot be outsourced, and one that will leave our children a world that is cleaner and safer.”

This will position America as a force to be reckoned with in the global alternative energy market, leading to still more jobs, economic growth and energy independence.
