Premier Auto Sales at Club Auto Sport Named Exclusive Retail Agent for Shelby Cars

San Jose, Calif., March 16, 2009 — Premier Automobile Sales — the consignment sales arm of Club Auto Sport, Silicon Valley’s unique car condominium facility and club for auto enthusiasts — has been selected as the exclusive retail agent in Silicon Valley for Shelby CSX “continuation series” cars. Premier Auto Sales at Club Auto Sport in San Jose will be the only retail outlet where customers can see Shelby cars displayed in the club’s stunning 10,000 square foot clubhouse and lounge, take a test drive, and arrange to have an officially badged Shelby Cobra CSX4000, Shelby GT40, or Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe CSX9000 delivered within days — rather than having to wait literally months for a car from the factory.

Brand New 1965 Shelby Cars

One of the unique aspects of the cars is that they are brand new Shelby cars that come complete with a 1965 Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (MSO) signed by Carroll Shelby. The cars begin with new Shelby rolling chassis made to the same rigorous specifications as Shelby cars in the mid-1960s, but with a number of key improvements:

• A stronger steel frame
• Better alloys used in all components
• Additional heat shielding
• Greatly improved cooling

Cars come with either an all-aluminum Shelby engine or a Roush engine with a two-year warranty — as well as a Tremec transmission, customized interiors, and various authentic Shelby options. The cars are accurate in every detail to earn a place in the National Shelby American Automobile Club — and are designed to be driven on the street or race track.

“These are Shelby-built vehicles that are documented in the Shelby Registry,” Reeve emphasized. “They will perform just like an original Shelby — with factory estimated 0-60 MPH times under four seconds with a 535 HP engine in a Shelby Cobra CSX4000, for example. Collectors should know these cars can also be expected to rapidly increase in value over the near term — just as vintage Shelby CSX cars will.”

Premier Auto Sales is working with DenBeste Motorsports in Windsor to maintain a good stock of Shelby CSX cars at Club Auto Sports’ elegant facility in North San Jose for customers to see and drive.

Carroll Shelby, now a spry 86, is a legend in the motor sports industry — first as a world-class driver in the 1950s when he was twice named the Sports Illustrated “Driver of the Year,” then as an internationally renowned automotive designer who created the Shelby Cobra. His collaboration with Ford led to the development of the Mustang-based Shelby GT 350 and GT 500. He continues to excite car enthusiasts with his latest Shelby GT models and the Shelby Super Snake.
